Americas reaction to the war

Before I discuss Americas reaction to the war I will state my feelings about the war. I will discuss my feelings about the war to show that I have certain biased views on the war.

The Vietnam war was characterized by protests and petitions. Objectors to the war claim that only the poor and lowly conscripts fought in the war this is a lie. Only 10% of the army was drafted. The wealthy and the poor fought side by side.

America was shocked by the sights of the vietnam war but this was because the war was one of the first televised conflicts. The war shocked the human sences. But war is not a peaceful thing. We should honor ower fallen Americans and praise their courage.

This is an extremely comprhensive site. It begins with numerous war images, some take by Pulitzer prize winning photographers. There are then links to many sites set up in an acessable, well-organized format. The other links are about the opinions of all involved, veterans, wives, children, politicians, etc. This is an excellent site.
