Fulbright Memorial Fund Master Teacher Program

The Fulbright Memorial Fund Master Teacher Program is undertaking its second year of exchange programs in information technology and environmental education. Former FMF participants from Japan and the US are invited to organize school-based teams to particiapate in a program which combines the use of information technology with environmental education. The core of the program is a combination of an overall unifying project and school pair projects. The unifying theme is an ongoing "BUGS" project. The pair projects are developed through collaboration between partnered teams. The goal is to create a sustainable system of on-line exploratory learning and educational information exchanges.

This science project is a collaborative effort between the students of Utsunomiya Kita High School Utsunomiya, Japan and the students of The Horace Mann School, Bronx, New York under the sponsorship of the Fulbright Memorial Fund Master Teacher Program during the 2000-2001 school year.
