About the authors...

All of the authors of these articles are in 7th grade at the Horace Mann School. This project was undertaken as part of the Music 7 class at HM.

Mariel Mangold's interests include fashion, talking on the phone, reading, watching T.V. and flipping through magazines. She plays soccer, swims and does track. She would like to go to Harvard or Stanford University.

Kimberly Endelson enjoys listening to music, singing, playing soccer, playing the piano and writing poems and short stories. She likes going to the movies and hanging with her friends.

Lauren Emden lives in NYC and enjoys playing tennis, soccer and swimming. She has visited many different places and enjoys traveling.

Nicholas Lawrence has lived in Manhattan his entire life. He plays soccer and tennis and likes to listen to music. This year he is going to Paris and Egypt.

Carlos Mojica is originally from Puerto Rico; he will be visiting there this summer. His interests include video games and sports. He also likes computers and hopes soon to have his own web page.

Jessica Simmon has attended Horace Mann for eight years. She goes to sleep-away camp every summer in the Berkshires. She is an avid horseback rider and loves being with her friends.

Marjorie Yang grew up in Brooklyn and recently moved north of NYC. She likes spending her spare time listening to music, roller-blading, and hanging with friends.

Shelly Kellner was born in Toronto. She used to live in Hong Kong and now lives in Manhattan. She likes to ski, listen to music and she has her own web page. Check it out!

Jonah Green loves to play guitar. He is passionate about music, specifically alternative rock. He also likes to play tennis, football and softball. Jonah wants to be a musician. "I don't have to be too famous, but it would be nice to at least have an audience."

Stephen Berkley loves sports, especially basketball. He reads a little, plays on the computer a little, and likes to go to the movies with his friends.

Nicholas Barasch has attended Horace Mann School since he was three. In sixth grade he was in a production of Patience by Gilbert & Sullivan which he liked very much.
